Our facilities have been developed to support our school's curriculum and include conventional learning areas and specialist facilities. Our sporting facilities include a tennis court, outdoor basketball, football oval and a volleyball court. Several undercover play areas exist for primary school children including play forts.
School Grounds
The Mitchell State School grounds officer ensures that the grounds and gardens of the school are in immaculate condition. The oval is well maintained with an irrigation system and caters for a full range of outdoor programs.
Learning areas
There are comprehensive computer facilities including a computer laboratory, trolleys of laptops and wireless capability throughout the school supporting the 1:1 computer program in years 5 – 10. All students have access to mobile digital learning devices.
Specialist areas include the Home Economics and Manual Arts building, Early Childhood block, an Art room, Science Laboratory, Resource Centre, Ag Block and Kitchen Garden.
