Our facilities have been developed to support our school's curriculum and include conventional learning areas and specialist facilities. Our sporting facilities include a tennis court, outdoor basketball, football oval, practice cricket net and a volleyball court. Several undercover play areas exist for primary school children including play forts.
The Mitchell State School grounds officer ensures that the grounds and gardens of the school are in immaculate condition. The oval is well maintained with an irrigation system and caters for a full range of outdoor programs.
There are comprehensive computer facilities including a computer laboratory, trolleys of laptops and wireless capability throughout the school supporting the 1:1 computer program in years 8 – 10. Students in prep to year 2 have access to mobille digital learning devices.
Specialist areas include the home economics and manual arts building, and early childhood building, an art room, science laboratory and our resource centre.
The school has a designated middle/upper primary students building and a separate secondary students building
