The ‘Paint the Town REaD’ committee encourages local businesses along Cambridge Street to decorate their shop fronts in red and the students and staff to dress in red. The business owners are actively involved in the day by reading stories to the students as they make their way, in parade like fashion, down Cambridge Street. Through this, the students are able to see that everyone in the community reads and that community members place a high importance on reading.
Mark Friday 29th August on your calendar and get set for a ‘Hullabazoo’! Paint the Town REaD 2014 is set to be bigger and better than ever before! Lisa Hollier and Tracey Roper, authors of children’s’ book ‘Hullabazoo’, will be our guest authors along with Bob and Kalyna, the team from SpinFX. Bob and Kalyna will be working with students to create puppets to produce a street theatre performance of ‘Hullabazoo’.
This year’s PTTR will be one not to miss – stay tuned!
